Chloe Grace Moretz is going on hiatus in regards to her acting career.
After a busy year of filming back-to-back movies (crime thriller November Criminals and the biographical drama Brain on Fire), the young actress decided to bow out of all her future film projects with the hope that she will remember why she loved acting in the first place. She realized she had become too preoccupied with the box office performance of her films.
“So I pulled the plug on all my movies because I want to reassess who I am and find myself within my roles again,” Moretz revealed to the Hollywood Reporter. “I’m realizing that I can slow down.”
The actress is only 19 years old, but she began acting when she was 7 and already has over 50 acting credits.
During her break from acting, Moretz will still be working in the entertainment industry as a producer and is currently preparing to shop around two television projects to networks.
Moretz was originally cast as Ariel in Disney’s upcoming live-action remake of The Little Mermaid. There currently has not been any official confirmation that she has departed from the film.
