Can the "power couple" make it 3 weeks at the top?
The first part of the “Twilight” finale continues it’s dominance at the box office for the second week in a row.
Taking in an estimated $62.3 million over the five day holiday weekend, “Breaking Dawn” has now surpassed the 200 million dollar mark in the US alone.
“The Muppets” came in a strong second earning $42 million beating out other holiday-themed movie debuts including “Arthur Christmas” and “Hugo.”
“Happy Feet Two” brought in an estimated $18.4 million in it’s second week of release to land at third place.
“Arthur Christmas” debuted at number 4 with an estimated $17 million followed by “Hugo” with $15.4 million. Many cinema experts think these movies still haven’t peaked with the busiest of the holiday crowds yet to make it out to theaters.
