After five seasons of playing the chemistry teacher turned meth kingpin on AMC’s Breaking Bad, Bryan Cranston is ready to play another evil nemesis.
According to Comic Book News, Cranston has reportedly signed a deal which includes at least six, possibly more, appearances in a variety of films within the interconnected DC Comics universe.
The Emmy Awards winning actor has shown interest in a particular role, and personal comments seem to suggest he is excited to be playing the political mogul Lex Luthor in the upcoming Man of Steel movie.
“Cranston is truly a dream casting for Luthor,” stated a Comic Book News source.
News of Cranston’s role follows last week’s controversial announcement that Ben Affleck has signed on to play Batman in the same film. Reportedly, Affleck signed a deal that includes 13 total appearances in DC films.
