You knew it was only time until Hollywood filmed a movie about Navy Seal Team Six’s raid on Osama bin Laden’s compound.
Filmmaker Kathryn Bigelow and screenwriter Mark Boal, both known for their Oscar-winning “Hurt Locker”, are collaborating once again to recreate the dramatic events that occurred on May 2,2011 in Abbottabad, Pakistan.
Known as the highlight of President Obama’s presidency, the commander-in-chief is not pleased with the creation of the movie. The executive branch is claiming that the creation of the movie is an endangerment to the national defense of the country.

White House Press Secretary Jay Carney said, “We do not discuss classified information. And I would hope that as we face the continued threat from terrorism, the House Committee on Homeland Security would have more important topics to discuss than a movie.”
In their defense Bigelow and Boal responded, “This was an American triumph, both heroic and non-partisan, and there is no basis to suggest that our film will represent this enormous victory otherwise.”
Pentagon Spokesman U.S. Marine Corps Colonel Dave Lapan stated they are “providing assistance with script research, which is something we commonly do for established filmmakers” and that they “do not discuss classified information.”
The most interesting part of this story is that the expected release date is October 2012, a month before the presidential elections.
Will Hollywood once again play a crucial role in determining the next US president?
