With Avatar 2 in the making, sequels 3 and 4 will be filmed back to back as well.
James Cameron’s Avatar became the biggest movie of all time in 2009 after he spent years developing the technology to create the world of Pandora in real time for the movie.
Avatar star Sigourney Weaver spoke with Showbizz411, not quite yet confirming, but that Cameron will make all three sequels together, just like what was done with the “Lord Of The Rings” trilogy, filming all three movies back to back.
Cameron has stated that he does not plan to make any more movies that do not have the Avatar title in it, except documentaries.
As for now Avatar 2 is set to come out sometime in 2015. Therefore, it will be a while until Avatar fans can obsess over the upcoming sequels.
