Writer and director Adam McKay and producer Judd Apatow have announced the release date for the upcoming sequel to Anchorman. According to McKay and Apatow’s Twitter accounts, Anchorman: The Legend Continues will be released on December 13, 2013.
Judd Apatow quoted Ron Burgundy in his tweet saying, “It is kind of a big deal”. I’ll have to agree.
Will Ferrell and McKay have been working on the script that will showcase most of the main characters from the first movie, including; Ferrell, Paul Rudd, Steve Carell and Christina Appelgate.
It was Ferrell who announced the sequel in style, wearing the Burgundy trademark scarlet suit and busting out some jazz flute when he took the stage on Conan.
I look forward to what Mckay, Apatow, and Ferrell will bring to the table for this much-anticipated film.
