“We don’t know what the f@#*$ out there!”
The crew of the colony ship Covenant may not know what’s out there, but those familiar with Ridley Scott’s Alien (1979) or James Cameron’s appropriately named sequel Aliens (1986) sure do.
20th Century Fox offered a Christmas gift in the form of the first trailer to its anticipated summer 2017 release Alien: Covenant. This sequel to Prometheus is the second in a planned trilogy of films that transpire before we are introduced to Ellen Ripley (Sigourney Weaver) and the crew of the Nostromo.
Very deserving of its red band status, this trailer offers a small sample of the blood we’re likely to see on May 19th.
When the crew of the Covenant discover what they think is an uncharted paradise, they unearth a dangerous threat and must attempt escape with all their limbs attached.
Noomi Rapace, Michael Fassbender, and Guy Pearce from Prometheus return and they are joined by Katherine Waterston, Billy Crudup, Carmen Ejogo, Danny McBride and Demián Bichir.
