Weezer plans to bank on the success of concert cruises, such as VH1’s Best Cruise Ever and Bud Light’s Port Paradise, to bring a little extra dough to their pockets.
Teaming up with Carnival, who also did the VH1 cruise, Weezer has planned a five day music ocean-going party dubbed The Weezer Cruise (original name huh?). For $799 per person you get to cruise from Miami to Cozumel, Mexico and back with the likes of Dinosaur Jr, Sebadoh, Wawes, the Antlers, Yuck, Free Energy, and Sleeper Agent (booze not included).
While Weezer is playing three sets and there will be plenty of tunes to accompany you for the ride, the Carnival Destiny will also host games and activities such as “bingo” and day trips to the beaches of Cozumel.
Pre-sale tickets begin July 21 while the rest of the tickets go on sale August 3.
The ship sets sail Jan 19th so get ready, go shopping and pack your bags, its gonna be one heck of a ride!
