Sole Survivor Brendan McDonough & Pat McCarty Talk ‘ONLY THE BRAVE’

A film based on the true heroic story of the Granite Mountain Hotshots.

Only The Brave tells the true heroic story of the Granite Mountain Hotshots, a group of elite firefighters who risked everything to protect a town from a historic wildfire that occurred on June 30, 2013.

Of the 20 Hotshots, the only one that survived was Brendan McDonough. Pat McCarty was a former Granite Mountain Hotshot, who served as a consultant.

The film’s synopsis:

Through hope, determination, sacrifice and the drive to protect families and communities, the Granite Mountain Hotshots become one of the most elite firefighting teams in the country. While most people run from danger, they run toward it — watching over lives, homes and everything people hold dear, forging a unique brotherhood that comes into focus with one fateful fire in Yarnell, Ariz.
