Siblings Andy & Barbara Muschietti On How They Adapted Stephen King’s ‘IT’

The Muschietti’s It is a must-see adaptation of the classic novel.

BackstageOL’s Dave Morales sat down with director Andy Muschietti and his sister and producing partner, Barbara, in this backstage interview to talk about their new horror drama film IT, based on Stephen King’s 1986 novel.

In the interview, the duo shared how they translated the novel to be an epic modern day horror film, why they kept the kid stars far from Pennywise the Dancing Clown and more!

The film’s synopsis:

When children begin to disappear in the town of Derry, Maine, neighborhood kids band together to square off against Pennywise, an evil clown whose history of murder and violence dates back for centuries.

IT hits theaters September 8th. For more from the Muschietti siblings, check out the full interview below!
