Welch plays Celeste in How to Be a Latin Lover.
BackstageOL’s Dave Morales sat down with Raquel Welch in this backstage interview to talk about the upcoming comedy How to Be a Latin Lover, directed by Ken Marino.
In the interview, Welch explained how she got involved with the film – which was produced by Eugenio Derbez – and what she loves most about acting.
“I always wanted to be an actress because I wanted to entertain,” she said. “And comedy seems to fit that kind of a need. I like to entertain people.”
Synopsis:
Maximo (Eugenio Derbez) gets the surprise of his life when his wealthy, 80-year-old wife dumps him for a younger car salesman. Forced out of his mansion, he must now move in with his estranged sister Sara (Salma Hayek) and her nerdy but adorable son Hugo (Raphael Alejandro). Anxious to return to the lap of luxury, Maximo hatches a scheme to seduce a widowed billionaire (Raquel Welch) and live the high life once again.
How to Be a Latin Lover hits theaters this Friday, April 28th. Check out the full interview with Welch below:
