‘PIXELS’ Was All Fun on Set Thanks to Director Chris Columbus

It was all fun and games on the set of Pixels for stars Kevin James and Michelle Monaghan! In an interview with BackstageOL, Dave Morales talked to Kevin and Michelle to ask how it went on set.

“It was incredible” said Kevin James. “Its like your a kid in a candy store. You’re running around you don’t even know where to go..you don’t know what to do next.” Its all credit to director Chris Columbus whose filmography includes some classic adventure films such as Home Alone, The Goonies, and Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone.

Michelle Monaghan said this about the famed director, “You already know that you’re in good hands..he just has such a great vision, hes such a energetic director and so charming…he never sits down”.  If anyone can make a live action film about Pac-Man and Donkey Kong destroying a city, its Chris Columbus. Working with a director who has a feel for 1980’s nostalgia, its sure to wow the older crowd while keeping the kiddos strapped to their seats.

Pixels has a superb cast that stars Adam Sandler, Kevin James, Michelle Monaghan, Josh Gad, and Peter Dinklage as a group of gamer’s who save the world from an alien invasion who are masking themselves as 1980’s video game characters.

The film opens in theaters on July 24th, 2015!
