BackstageOL’s Dave Morales sat down to chat with Ouija: Origin of Evil stars Henry Thomas and Elizabeth Reaser to discuss playing with Ouija boards, dressing up for Halloween and their favorite candy.
When questioned if anything spooky happened on set from acting with the spirit boards, the pair said that several cats would mysteriously go missing. Thomas joked, “Catering always came up with something new – so, I’m not sure. We don’t eat meat.” Reaser added, “No, we were in the clear.”
As for their penchant for horror movies – both revealed how much they enjoy the genre when they are done well.
“That’s what I like about this film, is because it reminds me of films like The Exorcist and The Omen that really scared me when I was a kid. It was a little nostalgic to know that we were making a film like that,” said Thomas. “I think this is a really good one.”
