This weekend, Mechanic: Resurrection hits theaters. It is the sequel to 2011’s The Mechanic, which was a remake of the 1972 film of the same name, and stars Jason Statham as a retired assassin who has to return to a life of killing because of a deceitful woman, played by Jessica Alba.
BackstageOL’s Dave Morales talked to Alba about the film, and she revealed she had gotten some minor injuries while filming the action-packed movie.
“You get a little bruised up, little cuts here and there,” she said. “You work with some people you do enough rehearsal so you hopefully avoid too many injuries.”
“You [feel the intensity] when you’re doing some of the bigger action sequences, and there’s so many different things that are happening at once,” she said of making the thriller film. “It’s fun. It’s really fun, and I really enjoy being in this movie. And I enjoyed doing it with Jason [Statham].”
