The upcoming drama Collateral Beauty arrives in theaters this weekend and features a plethora of stars in its ensemble cast, including Will Smith, Kate Winslet, Keira Knightley, Helen Mirren, Edward Norton, Michael Peña, and Naomie Harris.
Check out the official synopsis for the film from Warner Bros.:
When a successful New York advertising executive suffers a great tragedy, he retreats from life. While his concerned friends try desperately to reconnect with him, he seeks answers from the universe by writing letters to Love, Time and Death. But it’s not until his notes bring unexpected personal responses that he begins to understand how these constants interlock in a life fully lived, and how even the deepest loss can reveal moments of meaning and beauty.
Another star in the film is newcomer Jacob Latimore, who takes on the role of “Time.” The actor/singer recently sat down with BackstageOL’s Dave Morales to talk about being a part of a star-studded cast.
“Literally, top of the year, you know I go into the new year with a film with seasoned actors, and I’m just the underdog, I’m the youngest, and I’m getting ready to learn so much,” Latimore said of when he had gotten the role. “It was an incredible experience. I mean it definitely sort of changed my perspective just on everything, on how I approach my next film.”
