Turner Classic Movies is once again presenting it’s Classic Film Festival in Hollywood, California Thursday April 12 through Sunday April 15, 2012.
The historic Roosevelt Hotel, which was the site of the FIRST Oscars ceremony, serves as the official hotel for the festival as well as home to Club TCM, a central gathering point for passholders. Screenings and events will be held at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre, Chinese 6 Theatres, the Egyptian Theatre and, for the first time this year, Arclight Cinema’s Cinerama Dome.
Leading up to this event, TCM presents it’s “Road To Hollywood” tour. TCM is heading to 10 cities nationwide giving audiences a chance to see legendary movies and meet the stars of those films.
Cities include New York (March 1), Minneapolis (March 8); Houston (March 14); Philadelphia (March 15); Miami (March 20); Atlanta (March 22); Chicago (March 27); Toronto (March 31); Denver (April 3); and Portland, Ore. (April 5). Among the stars slated to appear are Spike Lee, Ernest Borgnine, Angie Dickinson, Tippi Hedren, Jane Powell and Eva Marie Saint.

We had a chance to sit down with TCM host Ben Mankiewicz to talk about the festival. We also asked about his favorite movies. As it turns out, Mankiewicz once went on a “date” with one of my FAVORITE actresses of all time- Tippi Hedren.
