Domhnall Gleeson – not your average CIA agent!
BackstageOL’s Dave Morales sat down with Domhnall Gleeson in this backstage interview to talk about his role in American Made.
Gleeson, who has a plethora of films set to release this year, plays Monty ‘Schafer’ in the biographical crime film, alongside Tom Cruise (Barry Seal). In the interview, the actor shared how long it took for him to master his American accent in the film and how he totally geeked out when he first saw Cruise on set.
The film’s synopsis:
Barry Seal, a TWA pilot, is recruited by the CIA to provide reconnaissance on the burgeoning communist threat in Central America and soon finds himself in charge of one of the biggest covert CIA operations in the history of the United States. The operation spawns the birth of the Medellin cartel and almost brings down the Reagan White House.
American Made hit theaters September 29th. For more from Gleeson, check out the full interview below!
