Director Armando Iannucci insists that the story within is not relegated to the years behind, but to now and the years beyond. It seems that recently, people are more drawn to the villains and the tragedy within their stories. Iannucci’s goal is to make positivity, joy and the overarching theme of friendship, the main foundation of his film.
