A Cure For Wellness hits theaters this Friday!
BackstageOL’s Dave Morales sat down with actor Dane DeHann in this backstage interview to talk about the psychological horror thriller, A Cure For Wellness.
Directed by Gore Verbinski (The Ring), A Cure For Wellness stars Dehann alongside Jason Isaacs and Mia Goth. Dehann described to Morales what it was like on set – playing Lockhart, a young executive who has been sent to rescue his boss from a mysterious European “wellness center” – and the central theme of water.
“There’s a lot going on with the water,” said Dehann. It’ll make you think twice about drinking water, but not as much as it’ll make you think twice about going to a health spa. I think we want to do what Jaws did for ‘day at the beach’; A Cure For Wellness will do for ‘a day at the spa.’”
Synopsis:
An ambitious young executive is sent to retrieve his company’s CEO from an idyllic but mysterious “wellness center” at a remote location in the Swiss Alps. He soon suspects that the spa’s miraculous treatments are not what they seem. When he begins to unravel its terrifying secrets, his sanity is tested, as he finds himself diagnosed with the same curious illness that keeps all the guests here longing for the cure.
A Cure For Wellness hits theaters Friday, February 17th. Check out the full interview with DeHann below:
