The duo talk Megan Leavey and give thanks to the military.

BackstageOL’s Dave Morales sat down with Common and Ramon Rodriguez in this backstage interview to talk about the upcoming drama Megan Leavey.

In the interview, the duo discussed what the film meant to them, with Rodriguez stating, “This movie, for me, its spirit is about connecting – human or animals. It’s a love story.” Common concurred and added how he learned a great deal about the military and the connection people have with animals, dogs specifically.

Film synopsis:

When young Marine Cpl. Megan Leavey (Kate Mara) is assigned to clean up the K-9 unit after a disciplinary hearing, she identifies with a particularly aggressive dog, Rex, and is given the chance to train him. Megan and Rex complete more than 100 missions, but an IED explosion injures them and puts their fate in jeopardy.
