HOUSTON – After some edited scenes, the documentary movie “Bully” will be released to the public with a PG-13 rating after it was originally rated R by the Motion Picture Association of America. Among the people in the Houston area who were able to view the film in advance of its release were psychotherapist Mary Jo Rapini, Dave Morales from BackstageOL.com and several students from Cypress Ranch High School.
Almost two years after the suicide of Cypress-Fairbanks Independent School District student Asher Brown, students from Cypress Ranch who watched “Bully” could not help but be affected by the movie.
“Bully” will be released in the U.S. in April, which is statistically the month where the most suicide attempts take place each year.
