#KingArthur swoops into theaters this week!
BackstageOL’s Dave Morales sat down with Guy Ritchie in this backstage interview to talk about the upcoming fantasy film King Arthur: Legend of the Sword.
In the interview, Ritchie explained how he put his own twist on the classic, stating that he “was always interested in the story, since [he] saw it in 1980.” The director, unfortunately, wouldn’t budge when we tried to get some insight on his upcoming live-action reboot of Aladdin.
Synopsis:
When young Arthur’s father is murdered, Vortigern (Jude Law), Arthur’s uncle, seizes the crown. Robbed of his birthright and with no idea who he truly is, Arthur (Charlie Hunnam) comes up the hard way in the back alleys of the city. But once he pulls the sword from the stone, his life is turned upside down, and he is forced to acknowledge his true legacy whether he likes it or not.
King Arthur: Legend of the Sword hits theaters Friday, May 12th! Check out the full interview with Ritchie below:
