Nintendo finally announced its long-rumored newest Switch model called the Nintendo Switch OLED. The new OLED model will be released on October 8 and will cost $350 USD.
The new model will feature a larger screen than previous models. It will have a 7 inch 720p OLED display and output 1080p in docked mode. This unfortunately means it will not support 4k as rumors suggested.

While the overall look of the Switch will not change much, the new model does feature a wider adjustable base stand, enhanced audio, a wired LAN port in the dock, and 64GB of internal storage.
Sadly the new model will not improve performance or battery life as previous reports suggested. The display remains at 12180×720 resolution and the battery life also remains the same at 4.5 – 9 hours of estimated use.

With the new Switch sharing the same release date (October 8) as Metroid Dread, there is a possibility of a bundle. However, no bundles have been announced as of yet.
Metroid Dread, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2, and Splatoon 3 were all featured in the announcement trailer. All the footage appeared to be previously seen footage, used in announcement trailers.
The Nintendo official website has the full specs of the new model and allows you to compare it to previous models.
