Last month Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot mentioned five major releases for 2014, two of which had yet to be revealed. Screenshots obtained by Kotaku now confirm that both unannounced games would be apart of the popular Assassin’s Creed franchise.
An anonymous source leaked multiple screenshots of an early version of Assassin’s Creed: Unity to Kotaku. In the images the games appears to be set in Paris during the French Revolution, showing images of Notre Dame, the Seine Rover and other Parisian landmarks.
While the identity of the games character is unclear from the images, it’s evident the character is from the Assassin clad. Another notable element from the screenshot is the game’s HUD, which displays patkour buttons. According to Kotahu, these controls will be apart of a new navigation scheme that will be debuted in Unity.
Kotaku also stated that Assassin’s Creed: Unity is in development for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, with a second “major” game possibly titled Assassin’s Creed: Comet to be released on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
Rumor has it that Assassin’s Creed: Unity will be released later this fall.
