YouTube has claimed its first naming-rights deal to venue at L.A.’s Hollywood Park Complex as “YouTube Theater”. The three-story sports and entertainment complex that holds 6,000 seats will host live entertainment such as concerts, award shows, video game competitions and several other creative events.
“YouTube Theater will drive the uniqueness of YouTube by combining physical, ‘in real life’ events that bring creators and fans together, while simultaneously sharingthat same event experience with our two billion global monthly users through livestreams and VOD content,” said Angela Courtin, YouTube’s VP brand marketer.
The glamorous interior design of the theater and interactive YouTube play button outside the venue offers anticipation to what amazing events will be taking place there. Guests can view YouTube creator’s videos and mirror themselves in the immersive video screen.
With exciting entertainment artists bringing their creativity to the theater so soon, the venue is gaining more popularity by the minute while embodying Los Angeles Rams owner and Hollywood Park’s site developer Stan Kroenke’s vision of presenting technology, creativity and entertainment as the theater’s main aspects. The company promises state-of-the-art technology and premium finishes to enhance the fan experience.
“We cannot imagine a better partner to help us bring this vision to life than YouTube,” managing director of Hollywood Park, Jason Gannon mentions. ““YouTube Theater will be open to the public this summer as Los Angeles’ new home for esports, community gatherings, concerts, and all types of live entertainment. YouTube Theater is the next step for Hollywood Park as we develop and deliver on creating a true sports and entertainment destination across our 300 acres,” he adds.
The previously announced partnership between Google and Hollywood Park made Google Cloud the exclusive cloud partner of the Los Angeles Rams, Chargers and their SoFi Stadium. It is also the exclusive cloud partner of YouTube Theater. YouTube will become the “video services and music streaming services partner” of YouTube Theater, SoFi Stadium and the music streaming partner of the Rams and Chargers.
The theater is set to open this summer (upcoming events yet to be released) with various music acts including Pitbull, Trippie Redd, Christian Nodal, Black Pumas, Louis Tomlinson and much more already on schedule to take place at the theater in 2021 and 2022.
