Warner Bros. Studios has officially announced a release date for Baz Luhrmann‘s ‘The Great Gatsby’ which is said to be glitzy and glamorous.
Warner Bros. has decided for the film to come out in early summer, which now in the movie world apparently is May! Baz Luhrman’s ‘The Great Gatsby’ will be released on May 10,2013 in U.S and Canada with an international release date the following week. Baz’s take on F. Scott Fitzgerald’s ‘The Great Gatsby’ is said be to unique that it is going to be “glitzy and glamorous”. “Audiences have been looking forward to Baz Luhrmann’s film adaptation of one of the most beloved books of all time” stated in the press release announced by Dan Fellman today. Leonardo DiCaprio will play the main role of Jay Gatsby along with Tobey Maguire starring as Nick Carraway. Luhrmann is very well known for his film Moulin Rouge and will be directing the Gatsby film in 3D. Fellman later stated that the film will be “beautifully extravagant and also dramatic”,which would be a perfect way for Warner Bros. to kick off the summer.
