It was a first for Taylor Swift. The singer had to postpone a concert. The scheduled July 2 show in Louisville, Kentucky was delayed until October 11 due to illness.
“Louisville, I so sorry to have to postpone this show to Oct. 11,” Swift posted on her Twitter page. “This is my first time having to do this. I’m so, so sorry.”
It was announced today that there will be more postponed concerts.
The next 3 shows scheduled for this weekend (Friday in Charlotte, North Carolina and both shows Saturday and Sunday in Atlanta, Georgia) were also delayed until the Fall.
The illness? Bronchitis. Swift’s doctors have told the singer to rest.
“It breaks my heart to miss out on this weekend’s shows with my friends in Charlotte and Atlanta,” Swift says. “I would never cancel if I thought I was physically able to perform these shows. I am so sorry to the fans, but I look forward to seeing you when we come back through your towns, which we will do.”
