It’s Tuesday boys and girls. That means new tunes.
That also means the end of the wait for the new Kanye West/Jay Z SUPER album “Watch The Throne”.
It WILL be number one this time next week.
Let’s get started.
Kanye West/Jay Z “Watch The Throne”
After being on again, off again then on again, this collaboration between some of the biggest names in modern hip hop finally sees the light of day. Officially released at 12:01AM this past Monday on iTunes, this collection not only has West and Hova on vocals but also some of the biggest names in producers. Namely- RZA of the Wu-Tang Clan, DJ Premier, the Neptunes, the Jugganauts, Swizz Beats and Q-Tip.
This is 16 tracks of exactly what you would expect from this all star cast. If you are “old school” and want the actual disc, you’ll have to wait until Friday. The mega tour kicks off in the Fall. The bets are on that the planned concerts will also be on again, off again.
Luke Bryan “Tailgates & Tanlines”
I got to meet Luke about a year ago. He is one of the NICEST guys in the music business. After you spend time with Bryan, you get the feeling he really loves what he is doing. That is the feeling of this new album release, his third.
The lead off single, “Country Girl (Shake It For Me)” is his fastest rising song that debuted at #1.
Bryan says of this album, “I feel like I continue to grow in my artistry and I hope that feeling never goes away. I think being out there on the road so much and seeing what the fans want make it much clearer for me to know what to give them.”
GLEE: The 3D Concert Movie (Motion Picture Soundtrack
It’s all the hits, GLEE style from the 3D movie coming out this week. If you are a GLEEK, you’ll love it. If you’re not, you won’t.
NOW 39: That’s What I Call Music
Yes, this collection of EVERY song on pop hit radio is back for it’s 39th edition. Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Bruno Mars AND Britney Spears have tracks on this collection. The Black Eyed Peas “Just Can’t Get Enough” is my favorite. Nuff said.
