The Billboard top 200 chart is out and for the FIRST time, R&B singer Jill Scott is at the top.
“Light of the Sun” is Scott’s fourth studio album and tops the list with 135,000 sold, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
The other big release last week was the highly anticipated self-titled Bon Iver album which came in second with 104,000 sold.
The rest of the top 10 land as follows:
Adele’s “21” came in for a second week at number 3 with 101,000.
Jackie Evancho’s “Dream With Me” slips from number 2 to the 4 spot with 77,000 sold.
Justin Moore’s second album “Outlaws Like Me” takes number 5 with 65,000.
Eminem and Royce 5’9”’s Bad Meets Evil project “Hell: The Sequel” falls from last week’s top spot at number 1 to number 6 (63,000 sold).
Pitbulls’s new “Planet Pit” comes in at number 7 with 55,000 sold.
Lady Gaga’s “Born This Way” (yes, it is still in the top 10) slips number 4 to number 8 with 49,000.
Weird Al’s new “Alpocalypse” enters at number 9 with 44,000, making it Al’s highest debut ever.
Jason Aldean’s “My Kinda Party” closes out the top 10 falling from the number 5 position last week with 40,000 sold.
