Cars 2 Is A Hit!

It’s the latest of the Pixar/Disney movie releases and it WILL be another hit for the movie studio.

First– let me warn you..GET TO THE MOVIE ON TIME!!! YOU DON’T WANT TO MISS THE TOY STORY “SHORT” BEFORE CARS 2 STARTS!!

O.K., you’ve been told. I feel better…moving on-

Can you believe it has been 5 years since the first Cars movie? It has and this one picks up where the last chapter left off.

Cars 2 is a..get ready for this..spy thriller set amidst the Grand Prix circuit. Starting in Paris, Lightning McQueen (voiced by Owen Wilson) and his best friend Tow Mater (Larry The Cable Guy) take on the Grand Prix circuit by racing in Tokyo, London and the fictitious Italian town of Porta Corsa.

Along the way, Tow Mater becomes a “secret agent” of sorts.

The visuals are stunning, the story is well paced and the characters move the film along in a funny but storytelling way. The message in this Cars movie is about friendship and being yourself.

Be on the lookout for Tow Mater’s scene where he mistakes wasabi for pistachio ice cream. You’ll laugh.

New characters in this sequel include Finn McMissile voiced by Michael Caine, Professor Z voiced by Thomas Kretschmann, billionaire Sir Miles Axlerod (voice of Eddie Izzard) -a “reformed” oil tycoon who now is pushing an alternative fuel called Allinol and McQueen’s main rival, Italian Formula One car Francesco Bernoulli, voiced by John Turturro. You are gonna love to ” hate” him. Bernoulli actually delivers some of the more funny lines in the film.

All in all, Cars 2 is one of the summer’s MUST sees. You won’t be disappointed.
