Ryan Gosling May Retire From Acting After Baby’s Birth

Three years ago Ryan Gosling expressed his desire to start a family during an interview with U.K’s The Times, and now that the actor is expecting his first child with Eva Mendes, he may not be far from retirement.

Gosling told the paper that when it comes to his career, “I’m giving as much to it as a marriage. I’d like to be making babies but I’m not, so I’m making movies.”

Continuing on, “When someone comes along [to make babies with] I don’t think I’ll be able to do both and I’m fine with that. I’ll make movies until I make babies. I have no idea when the handover will happen.”

Gosling and Mendez had kept the pregnancy from the public until July 7th when Us Weekly revealed the actress was seven months pregnant.

It has yet to be confirmed whether or not the actor will retire, if anything, fans will just see less of him.
