Country star Reba McEntire and her husband and manager, Narvel Blackstock, have announced they have separated after twenty-six years of marriage.
“Despite this being the end of their marriage, they continue to support each other. They have worked together for 35 years and will continue to do so. They have asked that you respect their privacy during this time,” a statement on Reba’s website reads. Her website also revealed that the couple had been separated the past few months. It is unclear if they are planning to divorce.
The two have a son together, race car driver Shelby Blackstock. Narvel Blackstock has three other children, including Brandon Blackstock, who is married to Kelly Clarkson.
McEntire’s latest album, Love Somebody, was released back in April. The “Going Out Like That” singer recently teased on Twitter that a new single was coming this week:
