Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones are reportedly “taking some time apart” to mend their 13 year marriage. Michael, 68, and Catherine, 43, haven’t been seen together since April.
“Catherine and Michael are taking some time apart to evaluate and work on their marriage. There will be no further comment,” a spokesperson for Catherine Zeta-Jones told USA Today.
According to TMZ, Michael’s recent bout with cancer and Catherine’s bipolar II disorder have taken a heavy toll on their marriage. The good news it that neither side has decided to take legal action and file for divorce. Friends and family hope for the best and that “the two can work things out.”
Michael and Catherine have two children together – Dylan, 13, and Carys, 10.
