Lindsay Lohan will be checking out of rehab early next month and plans to go into hiding after her release. A source says Lindsay understands that places like New York and Los Angeles fuel her addictions, rather than help her get over them.
“For someone who was so obsessed with being in the spotlight for long and often for the wrong reasons, it’s a good sign,” one of Lohan’s longtime friends told the Chicago Sun-Times.
Lohan is afraid of relapsing and hopes to find somewhere quiet to stay, without temptations or paparazzi.
“She knows big cities are a danger to her sobriety at this point. … The club scene has always caused her to fall off the wagon. … Lindsay will be heading either to Montana, Idaho or New Mexico,” the source claims, going against her mother’s (Dina Lohan) wishes to return to New York’s Long Island. There is reportedly “no way” she’ll be living with her father, Michael Lohan, in Florida. “That goes without saying.”
Lohan has made remarkable improvement in her time at the rehab center and plans on staying on track with her 12-step recovery program. It is unknown how long Lohan plans to stay hidden but sources close to the actress say she “wants to get back to her true self.”
Hopefully the treatment and isolation from her party life will help this child star get back on the right track.
