Kevin Spacey Yells at Audience Member Over Phone Interruption

Oscar winning actor Kevin Spacey reportedly scolded an audience member at the Old Vic Theater in London on Wednesday when a cell phone began to ring during his powerful soliloquy.

Spacey was up on stage for the opening night of his one man show, Clarence Darrow, to help celebrate his 10^th anniversary as artistic director of the Old Vic Theatre Company.

The actor was in the midst of a scene in which Spacey’s character, Clarence Darrow, is pleading his innocence while on trial, when a phone began to continuously ring.

The ringtone grew louder and louder as the guilty party attempted to look innocent. Finally, in full character, Spacey retorted, “If you don’t answer that, I will.”

Apparently, Spacey’s actions elicited a loud ovation from the audience with immediate applause.

Clarence Darrow is slated to run at the Old Vic Theatre till Sunday, June 15^th.
