Justin Bieber Sentenced to Two Years Probation

Justin Bieber has been sentenced to two years probation after pleading no contest to a misdemeanor charge of vandalism after egging his neighbor’s home during a dispute in January.

Bieber, who was not present for his arraignment, is also being ordered to pay $80,900 in restitution, serve five days of community service, complete 12 weeks of anger management sessions and stay at least 100 yards away from the victim’s family, all of which the singer accepted as a plea deal.

A representative for Bieber expressed in a statement that, “Justin is glad to get this matter resolved and behind him. He will continue to move forward focusing on his career and his music.”

After searching his Calabasas, California home, detectives found footage of a person matching the description of Bieber who was seen high fiving his friend after running toward a neighbor’s home. Footage of the egg attack was not captured.

The incident was the first in a string of arrests and legal problems for the singer, who was later arrested and charged with driving under the influence in Miami Beach as well as being charged with assaulting a limo driver in Toronto.

Bieber could have faced a felony charge if damage to the home exceeded $20,000.
