Singer turned actress Jessica Simpson is finished with acting. The announcement comes as no surprise since the mother of two had little success in the past on the big screen with the releases of Blonde Ambition, Employee of the Month and The Dukes of Hazzard.
“Jessica has told friends that she’s 100 percent done with acting and never wants to read another script,” an insider told RadarOnline. “Although critics laugh about her acting, the truth is, she could make a couple of million dollars a year just with the network guest starring roles she’s offered as well as TV commercials, which she doesn’t enjoy.”
Simpson is ready to move to the Big Apple and leave Los Angeles, but plans to stay in LA for her husband, retired NFL player Eric Johnson. “His closest friends live there [L.A.] and he’s so addicted to golf that the weather makes it one of the best places to live,” the source added.
The 33-year-old plans to focus more on her increasing businesses profile, which includes her fashion line “The Jessica Simpson Collection,” and to spend more time with her family.
