New video obtained by TMZ shows Jay Z being attacked in a New York City elevator last weekend. The beating reportedly happened at a Met Gala after party last week at the Standard Hotel. Shockingly, the attacker wasn’t some random thug on the street but a member of his own family: Beyonce’s sister Solange Knowles.
In the video Solange is shown striking Hova three times before being held back by a large security guard. At one point Solange tries to kick Jay Z but he blocks the kick by grabbing her foot. Meanwhile, Beyonce is shown standing by watching in shock and doesn’t get physically involved. It’s important to point out that at no time did Jay Z attempt to strike his sister-in-law.
It is unclear what caused the altercation, but all three individuals left the party as if nothing ever occurred, although Solange did look rather irritated.
