Legendary actor James Garner passed away Saturday evening at the age of 86.
An ambulance was dispatched to Garner’s home in Los Angeles around 8PM on Saturday evening where he was found dead of natural causes. There has been no word on a more specific cause of death, but Garner had suffered from a stroke in May 2008.
Garner was one of the first actors to gain success in both film and television. The actor is credited with roles in films such The Rockford Files, The Notebook, The Great Escape, and Atlantis: The Lost Empire. The actor also co-stared alongside Mel Gibson in the 1994 version of Maverick, a television series which original starred Garner as Bret Maverick in 1957-1960.
