Jodi Arias has been convicted of first-degree murder for killing her ex-boyfriend Travis Alexander on June 4, 2008 in Mesa, AZ. Arias, originally claimed that she killed Alexander in self-defense.
The five month long trial began on January 2, 2013, in Maricopa County Superior Court before Judge Sherry K. Stephens. Months of witnesses, cross exams, and hundreds of tapes and pictures shown in court have culminated into the conviction of Jodi Arias by the jury after 15 hours of deliberation.
Now sentencing will begin tomorrow where the lead prosecutor, Juan Martinez, has confirmed that the State of Arizona is seeking the death penalty.
