Dustin Diamond has pleaded not guilty to the charges resulting from a bar fight in Wisconsin on Christmas Day, leaving one may stabbed on the scene.
Diamond and his fiancee, Amanda Schutz, appeared in in Ozaukee County Circuit Court Thursday morning to plead not guilty to second-degree reckless endangering safety, a felony, and two misdemeanors, carrying a concealed weapon and disorderly conduct. Schutz entered a plea of not guilty for her charge of disorderly conduct.
“Dustin continues to believe the legal process will exonerate him and he is undaunted by the work that lies ahead,” Thomas Alberti, Diamond’s attorney, told reporters after the hearing.
Diamond and Schultz’s next court date is set for February 19.

Dustin Diamond, who is best known for starring in the 1990s sitcom Saved By The Bell as Samuel “Screech” Powers, appeared in court Monday (December 29th) for allegedly stabbing a man at a Port Washington, Wisconsin bar early Friday morning.
The 37-year-old spent the weekend in jail and posted $10,000 bail before his hearing in Ozaukee County Circuit Court.
Defense attorney Thomas Alberti requested reduced bail and a jury trial for Diamond who remained silent in court. Alberti stated outside of the courtroom that “Dustin has complete faith in the justice system” and that he was “not happy he missed the Packers game” while in jail.
Diamond was charged with three misdemeanors: second-degree recklessly endangering safety, disorderly conduct, and carrying a concealed weapon. The actor, who was in possession of a stiletto folding knife with a 3.75-inch blade, is claiming self-defense, telling officers that he was defending his 27-year-old fiancée Amanda Schutz.
According to the criminal complaint, Schutz declared that she was being harassed by “a group of intoxicated people being rude and insulting,” where things then got physical. She was booked with misdemeanor disorderly conduct.
Diamond told police that he did not intentionally stab the man “but that chaos broke out and people were grabbing at him and that he swung his arms to break free.” He swayed answers during questioning, stating that he was holding a knife or a pen during the quarrel. The victim suffered wounds that were not life threatening, telling police that he never see a knife and didn’t realize he had been injured.
Documents obtained by ABC News stated that Diamond could serve up to 10 years in jail if convicted on the recklessly endangering safety charge.
