David Cassidy Charged With DUI

Former teen star David Cassidy has been charged with one count of driving under the influence and faces significant jail time.

The charge stems from an arrest that occurred in Los Angeles on  January 10.  The 63-year-old singer was pulled over after he made a right turn on red near Los Angeles International Airport and reportedly blew a 0.19, more than twice the legal limit.  After failing the field sobriety test, he refused to submit to further testing at the police station.

This is not the first time Cassidy has been arrested for DUI.  He was two prior convictions and faces up to a year in prison if convicted for a third time.  According to the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office, Cassidy will serve a mandatory 96 hours in jail if found guilty.

A court date has yet to be set.
