Update (1/17/13): TMZ is reporting that Caesars and at least two other Vegas properties are in a bidding war to attract Britney Spears to their showrooms. No official deal has been signed but sources are expecting Spears to earn at least $100 million per year.
Britney Spears is expected to sign and complete paperwork for a year long contract to headline a show in Vegas. The 31-year old pop star would perform in Sin City for a year-long residency deal at Caesars Palace.
“The deal is a go. There are several stipulations that could throw a monkey wrench in the deal, but it`s basically done,” a source familiar with the deal said. Like Cher, Britney is expected to earn a $100 million dollars during her residency. Included in the deal Britney will receive a free hotel penthouse during the duration of her show.
She is expected to begin her residency in late Spring.
