Maroon 5 lead singer Adam Levine has officially been crowned People’s Sexiest Man Alive.
It had been rumored for the past few days that the 34-year-old singer would been given the title, but nothing was confirmed until Tuesday Night. The Voice host Carson Daly confirmed the news when he presented a copy of this month’s People’s magazine with Levine on the cover.
Carson Daly said, “Your name has come up recently. Is he the guy? Are you the man? And I have it on good authority to announce… that you are People magazine’s Sexiest Man Alive.” The crowd began to cheer after the announcement.
Levine blushed and turned towards Blake Shelton, shrugged and said, “I’m sorry, Blake. It just didn’t work for you buddy.” Shelton jokingly replied, “This is why I drink so much, he stole my thunder.”
Levine will now join the league with past #1 hotties such as last year’s Sexiest Man Channing Tatum, Ryan Reynolds, Brad Pitt, and George Clooney.
