The first trailer for the Disney+ original The Book of Boba Fett was released Monday morning. The footage heavily features Temuera Morrison as Boba Fett and Ming-Na Wen as mercenary ally Fennec Shand as they fight for territory that used to belong to crimelord Jabba the Hut but now belongs to other criminal entities.
Morrison and Wen reprise their roles after making appearances in season two of The Mandalorian. Filming had begun for The Book of Boba Fett by December of 2020, lasting up until June 2021. The show is one of several Star Wars titles announced by the streaming giant set to air in the near future.
A number of filmmakers have been linked to the series like with other Star Wars series. Jon Favreau, Bryce Dallas Howard, Dave Filoni and Robert Rodriguez have directed episodes for The Book of Boba Fett. The series is set to be released on Disney+ December 29, 2021.
