Post Malone will be replacing Travis Scott as a headliner for the Day N Vegas festival this weekend. Promoter AEG announced the news via social media Monday night.
Why Post Malone is Replacing Travis at Day N Vegas Festival
Variety has confirmed that Scott will not be performing at this weekend’s Day N Vegas Festival after sources describe Scott as being “too distraught to play.” Just less than a week ago, eight concert attendees died with hundreds also injured at Scott’s Astroworld festival that took place at Houston’s NRG Park. Scott also revealed that he will provide refunds for all who bought tickets to Astroworld.
Day N Vegas Officials’ Response
The Day N Vegas account first posted a message on Twitter after Scott pulled himself out over the weekend. “Travis Scott will no longer be performing at Day N Vegas. The security and safety of all attending Day N Vegas has been and is always top priority in our festival planning. We continue to work hand in hand with law enforcement, medical personnel and public safety agencies on our protocols for the weekend. Please take care of yourselves and each other. Look forward to seeing you in a few days.”
13 minutes later they posted the news of Post Malone being added to the lineup. “We are excited that POST MALONE has been added to close out Saturday night!”
Rest of Day N Vegas Festival Performers
Other headliners include Kendrick Lamar performing Friday night and Tyler, the Creator performing on Sunday. More acts appearing throughout the weekend include SZA, Roddy Ricch, and Lil Uzi Vert. Additionally, 24kGldn, YG, Don Toliver, Polo G, Jazmine Sullivan and Teyana Taylor.
Day N Vegas will be held at the Las Vegas Festival Grounds on the Strip, north of Circus Circus on Nov. 12. General admission passes for the event are still on sale.
