ViacomCBS has formally changed its name to Paramount Global, or Paramount. With the name change came a massive announcement regarding their popular properties for both theatrical and streaming releases.
Star Trek

Leading off, Paramount announced that they are actively negotiating with the lead cast of the previous three Star Trek films, to return for a fourth film. Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Zoe Saldana, Karl Urban, John Cho, and Simon Pegg are all in discussions to return with filming eyeing a late 2022 start.
Transformers
The Transformers franchise returns for a new entry entitled Rise Of The Beasts. This film will lead a new trilogy for Paramount and will also jumpstart an animated series from Nickelodeon and a CG animated theatrical film. Rise Of The Beasts will star Anthony Ramos and Dominique Fishback and will hit theaters on June 9th, 2023.
Sonic
Even before the release of Sonic 2, Paramount has greenlit another Sonic film. They have put a Knuckles-centric series into development for Paramount Plus with Idris Elbra returning. Sonic 2 hits theaters April 8th.
A Quiet Place
The next installment of A Quiet Place will be a spinoff movie hitting theaters in 2023 by director Michael Sarnoski. And, A Quiet Place 3 is set to hit theaters in 2025.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
The turtles will return in 2023 to usher in a new age of TMNT. Seth Rogen will direct a new animated TMNT film next year, followed by a series of villain-centric TMNT films exclusively for Paramount+.
Paw Patrol
Paramount has officially greenlit a Paw Patrol sequel after the first film garnered over $140M at the global box-office in a pandemic year. The sequel will hit theaters in 2023 alongside a Paw Patrol spinoff series for Nickelodeon and Paramount+.
