‘House of the Dragon’ Teaser Released

HBO has released the first teaser footage for House of the Dragon, the spin-off from the network’s hit show Game of Thrones. The series is set 200 years prior to the events in Game of Thrones and focuses on the Targaryen family.

Game of Thrones debuted for HBO in early 2011 and took pop culture by storm throughout the rest of the decade. The final episode aired in 2019 when it set an all-time HBO record viewership of 19.3m viewers, and in its prime, the show averaged more than 12m viewers per episode.

House of the Dragon will be adapted from George R. R. Martin’s Fire & Blood, which tells the history of House Targaryen. The show will be released sometime in 2022.
