It has been reported that AMC Theaters will increase ticket prices based on seat location in the auditorium.
AMC Theaters has announced Sightline at AMC, a new pricing initiative that fluctuates based on the theater’s seat location. While seats closer to the screen will cost less, seating near the middle of the theater will be available at an increased price. Sightline at AMC is broken down into three tiers.
Standard Sightline
The seats in the Standard Sightline are billed as generally the most common seating choices within the theater. These seats will be available for the traditional ticket price.
Value Sightline
The Value Sightline option is geared toward the seats in the front row of the theater as well as ADA seats throughout the auditorium. These seats will be priced lower than Standard Sightline seats, and will only be available to AMC Stubs members. (Including the free tier, AMC Insider)
Preferred Sightline
The seats in the Preferred Sightline will generally be the most expensive and includes seat locations in the direct middle of the theater. This tier will be incrementally higher than the Standard Sightline tier. If the audience member is a part of AMC Stubs A-List, they may use the Preferred Sightline tier for no additional cost.
