The 73rd Emmy Awards were hosted Sunday night in Los Angeles with big wins for several actors and films. We have provided the results of the award show and honorable mentions of nominees as well.
The 2021 Emmy Winners
First, Ted Lasso earned its fair share of Comedy awards. In brief, Jason Sudeikis (series star) wins Lead Actor. Alongside his glory, Brett Goldstein and Hannah Waddingham take the win in the supporting categories. The show also grasped Outstanding Comedy Series from Hacks and Cobra Kai. However, luck has turned for Hack’s Jean Smart. She won Outstanding actress in a Comedy Series.
Moreover, The Crown wiped out their competition as expected. The show stacked awards with wins for four utmost acting categories. Those wins are for Olivia Colman and Josh O’Connor for leads and Tobias Menzies and Gillian Anderson for supporting. The series also earned their title of Outstanding Drama Series.

Additionally, Michaela Coel received a win for writing I May Destroy You. Her success ultimately beat out The Queen’s Gambit. Fortunately, The Queen’s Gambit earned Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series. More wins include Ewan McGregor for Best Actor in a Limited or Anthology Series and Julianne Nicholson for Outstanding Supporting Actress in Mare Of Easttown. Alongside co-star Evan Peters who won Outstanding Actor in the same category for his role in Mare of Easttown. For Outstanding Television Movie, Dolly Parton’s Christmas on the Square took home the award.
